We say this because one the biggest problems in being an entrepreneur and mother is the lack of a proper schedule during the summer. - The first tip is an obvious one and that is to create a schedule. So let’s start with the basics, you want to have a schedule that can absolutely be adaptable and changeable. You want to just start planning what every day of the week is going to look like and you want to make sure you start with adding all of the activities for the kids first and for your family. Then fill in additional time slots for business needs.
- The second tip is to be strategic about utilizing services like summer camps or summer kids care activity centers so that on certain days of the week you focus solely on your business. This will increase your productivity, because sometimes with the kids around and the hustle and bustle we forget that we are still running businesses. If you are a mom who is a service-based business owner or if you are a crafty mompreneur, try to get the kids involved by allowing them to do minor activities like stuff marketing envelopes for you. Getting the whole family in on running the business is a wonderful way to enjoy time together, while still getting some marketing work done!
- The last tip is also very important for moms with kids who are athletes and have summer sports activities. Getting involved in sports organizations like the school’s booster club or maybe if there is some type of a parent association that is involved with your kid’s activity, this is a wonderful opportunity for you to market your business, and maintain a presence in the community.
